Playtime has taken an adventurous twist at one Southampton school.

A new adventure playground has been unveiled to pupils from Thornhill Primary School.

Southampton Itchen MP John Denham cut the ribbon on the new equipment, which has cost £230,000 The National Lottery and Southampton City Council provided the funding for the project.

not sure how they can call it new when the kids have been playing on it since august!!!!lol

It was not officially launched therefore it's new, it took 3 years of hard work to get this playground done and dusted, so let's not worry about it being called new or not, the benefits for children is what matters.

Thats nice....will they open it up to other kids or can you only play on it if you are lucky enough to get a school place?
