THESE kind-hearted soldiers cycled and rowed the distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats in just five hours.

Between them, the 15 members of Marchwood-based Port Regiment 165 completed 674 miles on cycling and rowing machines at Whiteley Shopping Centre.

They were taking part in a challenge to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. They aim to raise £7,000 for the charity with a series of challenges, and will take part in the Winchester Pedal Paddle Race and the Great South Run later this year.
