Drivers on one of Hampshire’s busiest commuter routes faced major hold ups yet again this morning.
A two car crash caused delays on the A31 across the New Forest.
The accident happened just after 6am eastbound between Picket Post and Stoney Cross.
Crash which blocked the outside lane was cleared about an hour later.
But not sooner had queues began to clear than a broken down vehicle began to cause new hold ups on Poulner Hill.
The road has been plagued by accidents and delays over the past week.
Just yesterday there were delays when a woman motorist lost control of her silver Vaulxhall Corsa on the A31 eastbound carriageway near Stoney Cross.
On Friday there were rush hour delays when one lane was blocked eastbound between Nouale Lane and the Linford turn off due to a broken down vehicle.
At the same time a broken down lorry blocked the inside lane on the westbound carriageway at Castle Malwood.
Those incidents came a comes a day after two crashes caused major delays on the same stretch of road.
