IT is like stepping back in time to explore the magic of Christmas in a bygone era.

The grounds of the Palace House in Beaulieu evoke a fairytale world for the iconic attraction's Victorian Christmas Celebrations.

Now they are inviting 10 Daily Echo readers to join in the fun by offering the chance to win a family ticket to this year's extravaganza.

From now until Christmas we are trying to get people across Hampshire into the festive mood with our Win Christmas competition.

Throughout December we are giving away a stocking full of goodies - from shop vouchers and panto tickets to tasty treats and tipples.

Beaulieu National Motor Museum is one of the country's most famous tourist attractions and is set in the heart of the New Forest.

This festive season the Palace House, home of the Montagu family since 1538, is transformed into a scene from Christmas past.

Daily Echo:

Visitors can hear from Victorian characters what life was really like Upstairs and Downstairs while children can dress in period costumes, listen to carol singing in the house and gather round a towering Christmas tree in the grounds - the largest of its kind in the New Forest.

Families will huddle round a Yule log in the house with adults tucking into a glass of hot fruit punch.

People can also tour the grounds on the high-level Monorail or Veteran London Bus and browse the museum's fantastic collection of classic cars and vehicles.

The celebrations take place from Saturday, December 20, to Sunday, January 4 with the attraction open from 10am to 5pm daily, except Christmas Day.
