Police are investigating after a pensioner was found with chest injuries outside a block of flats in Hampshire.
Officers were called to Ewart Court in Hythe this morning after the pensioner, believed to be in his 80s, was found lying on the ground.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital in an ambulance, while the air ambulance landed on a nearby sports field, but was not required.
The spot where the pensioner was found was cordoned off by police during the morning.
