JUST 24 hours after earning £20 million in a business deal a Hampshire university dropout is heading to Silicon Valley to continue advertising his firm.

Craig Fletcher from Blackfield is flying high after he netted millions when his computer gaming business, which he started from his bedroom, was bought up by video game retailer GAME.

Today the 36-year old, who dropped out of medical school to establish the company, is landing in America to continue his rewarding work and advertise his firm, Multiplay, at a gaming convention.

He will be exhibiting the business, which organises competitive gaming events across the country, at the Game Developers Confer-ence in San Francisco.

Speaking from the airport terminal, he said: “There’s going to be 25,000 game developers at the event. It’s a key date in the calendar. I’ve got a ticket on the last flight I could get.”

As reported in yesterday’s Daily Echo the family-run firm was bought up but Craig and his mother Yvonne and his brother Stewart will remain working at the firm along with their 50 employees.
