POLICE have closed an investigation into a baby being allegedly manhandled and neglected in a Hampshire supermarket.
It comes after the Daily Echo reported how a woman raised the alarm after claiming she could see a baby she claimed was between six and eight weeks old being abused in McDonalds restaurant area of Asda in Totton.

Witnesses who saw the incident, which happened on February 23, claimed baby was thrown into its pram and hit its head and said the woman then ignored the baby’s cries and carried on eating a burger.
Customers in the store were so concerned they initially called the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).
The child welfare charity then called in Hampshire police.
Police launched an investigation into the incident and officers have viewed CCTV footage of the incident but say no crimes were committed.
A spokeswoman for Hampshire police said: “There is no evidence to take the investigation any further after CCTV footage was viewed by officers but no offences have been identified so the file has been closed.”
