Stars sparkled this weekend at the MoonWalk London, as 15,000 women and men power walked through the city at midnight in decorated bras, raising money and awareness for breast cancer.

The fabulous bras on show reflected the Saturday Night at the Movies theme, sending the awareness of breast cancer sky high!

The streets of London were transformed into the boulevards of Bollywood and Hollywood, Princess Elsa mingled with Minnie Mouse and Marilyn Monroe, and James Bond found himself on the Yellow Brick Road with characters from The Wizard of Oz. No ordinary night at the flicks!

First time Moon Walker, Amy Maxfield-Follis, 30, took part in the event, along with her father Drew, 63, from Lymington, raising more than £1500.

"This walk was a long held ambition for Amy and a personal achievement for me," explains Managing Director of Windswept Sailing Ltd, Drew.

"When Amy was 17, her boss did the walk as her own mother had breast cancer and this inspired Amy. She wanted to do it before her 30th birthday, which was a couple of days after the event. No pressure then!

"After several months of training, we started at midnight and allowing for loo and blister stops achieved an average speed of 3.5 mph., which we were happy with.

"One of the hardest bits for us was the stop for the loo at the Tower of London. The queue was an hour long - enough to seize up muscles, get cold and lose our rhythm. The next crunch point was five miles from the end when we both began to run out of steam, but we rallied and made it to the end.

"Our main feeling was of relief when we finished - the sense of achievement came later when we realised we had raised £1534, so far, for breast cancer charities, which we couldn’t do without our sponsors generous help."

Before the start of this iconic event, which was the launch of breast cancer charity Walk the Walk’s season of global challenges, £2.8 million had been raised, with more to come.
