EMERGENCY services including the air ambulance have been called to The Bickerley in Ringwood.

A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance Service said they were called at 10.42am to the area after reports of a person that had fallen.

An ambulance crew, ambulance officer and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance attended, along with Hampshire Police.

Resident Clive Lochlan said: "It was around 11.45am and I saw an air ambulance on the green oppostite my house. I saw a lady sat upright on a stretcher outside the air ambulance and all I could see was that her hand was bandaged up.

He said he saw her walk from the stretcher into the air ambulance and she was conscious and breathing.

He said: "It seemed strange that somebody who could walk would require an air ambulance."
