A BROTHER and sister are set to be discharged from hospital tomorrow after a car crash that killed their mum - who was driving home from her own sister's funeral.

Tereasa Cutler died in a head on collision along the A31 at Wimborne while she was driving home from her sister’s funeral in Poole.

The 49-year-old from Ringwood had her children and nephew in the car, who have all been in Southampton General Hospital with injuries.

Now her 18-year-old daughter Alice has thanked people for their support since the crash in Wimbourne on June 10

On Facebook today, she said: "Thank you to everyone for your kind messages.

“Both myself and my brother are due to be discharged from hospital tomorrow. Thank you all for your kind words. We are on the road to recovery.

“However, we would greatly appreciate space and privacy in the coming weeks as I am sure you all understand we have a lot to come to terms with and still have a long recovery ahead of us.

“I have read all the messages and we will begin to reply when we feel that the time is right for us as a family."

It is unclear whether Tereasa’s 19-year-old nephew Joseph Woodland will be discharged tomorrow – but police said yesterday that he was expected to make a full recovery.

Police are still appealing for information from the public and trying to track down the people in a red or purple Ford Ka which stopped near the incident shortly after 4.30pm.

Tereasa was driving a blue Ford Fiesta when she was involved in a head-on collision with a black BMW 3 Series close to Lake Gates and the driver and passenger in the BMW were also seriously injured.

Officers in Dorset have said the occupants of the Ford Ka which stopped could have "vital" information.

They said the driver of the car was asked to move on to allow the fire service to get to the scene.

The driver of the BMW remains in hospital in a serious condition, while the passenger has been discharged.

Anyone with information about the can call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
