ALAN Stone has been named as the chairman of the Hampshire branch of UKIP.
The father-of-four stood down as the chairman of the branch, which was set up in 2010, to focus on his bid to become Basingstoke’s MP at the General Election in May.
He was replaced by Stan Tennison in March.
Alan said: “I love it. It is a more proactive job and I get to be involved in more important campaigns, some of the larger campaigns and I am definitely going to be co-ordinating the ‘No to EU’ campaign across Hampshire.”
