A CYCLIST was injured following a rush hour crash in Southampton city centre.

The man came off his bike after he was in collision with a car at the junction of Palmerston Road, New Road and East Park Terrace at 5.30pm last night

He is being treated by ambulance crews at the scene.

The extent of his injuries are unknown, but are not thought to be life-threatening, police say.

No road closures are in place.

A passer-by said they had seen two ambulances and three police cars at the junction.
