A CAR has been destroyed after bursting into flames in a Hampshire car park.
Video footage shows a plume of smoke rising into the air as customers at a fast food restaurant watch on.
Firefighters confirmed that the vehicle suffered 100 per cent damage in the blaze, which started at about 9.30am yesterday.
A crew from Redbridge was called and extinguished the fire by 9.45am and no-one was injured in the fire.
John Ozard, a project manager from Eastleigh, was driving to pick up his drink at McDonald’s when he saw smoke coming from the vehicle.
He and said: “I noticed smoke from a car and suddenly it burst into flames.”
The restaurant is now open but staff were unable to provide a comment.
