A PLANNING battle in a Hampshire town has ended in defeat for the applicant.
An appeal was lodged after a proposal to build a detached house beside an existing property in Rookes Lane, Lymington, was rejected by New Forest District Council in January last year.
But government-appointed planning inspector Debbie Moore has upheld the council's decision.
