Police have launched an investigation after a suspicious man in dark clothing pulled up in a van beside a 10-year-old girl in Lymington.
Police are investigating after the young girl, walking home, was approached by a man in a black van on Tuesday.
The man, described as white with a shaved head and black beard, in dark clothing, spoke to the girl before the girl ran home.
Inspector Richard Parsons said: “We would like to ask children and parents alike to remain vigilant and aware of personal safety.
"Remind children of stranger danger, try to arrange to walk to school with them, or with friends, and stick together.
“Officers have been patrolling this area of Lymington to ensure children and parents feel safe.”
