A 22-year-old man was rushed to hospital after an assault at a Hampshire pub.
Police are appealing for information after the incident at the Testwood Pub in Totton.
The man received a serious head injury after the attack in the car park of the Salisbury Road pub.
Officers are now asking the public for help, saying that there were a lot of people around at the time who may have seen what had happened.
The incident took place on Friday (April 7) between 11.30pm and 11.49pm.
A statement from Hampshire Constabulary said: “A 22-year-old man received a serious head injury that required treatment at Southampton General Hospital.
“If you have any information relating to this case, please call 101 quoting reference 44170130675.”
