Police closed a busy Hampshire road after a rider was seriously injured in a motorbike accident.
Officers closed Ringwood Road in Totton, between Maynard Road and Salisbury road shortly before 12:30pm yesterday.
A spokesman from South Central Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 12.08 reporting a single motorcycle accident at the above location. We sent the air ambulance rapid response car and an ambulance to the scene.
"The rider sustained serious leg, back and pelvic injuries."
The rider was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
There are some delays in Totton as a result of the incident.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Police said: “Road closures will remain in place for several hours and officers are currently attending the scene.”
The road was reopened shortly after 4pm.
