A GROUP of Hampshire teenagers came face to face with Hollywood stars during a trip to Hollywood.

Film and media students from Brockenhurst College went to Los Angeles to sample the glitz and glamour of the US entertainment industry.

During their week-long visit they were taken on VIP tours of studios belonging to Warner Bros and Universal.

They also explored locations used in blockbuster films including La La Land, Transformers and School of Rock.

While in LA the staff and students bumped into stars such as actors Jeff Daniel Phillips and Pancho Moler and the lead singer of Coldplay, Chris Martin.

They even found themselves chatting to Matt Damon, 47, after he sat down beside them in a breakfast bar.

The college organises an annual trip to Hollywood and has so far taken more than 250 students to the city to supplement their A level studies.

Media lecturer Mike Latto said: “I’ve taken students to LA many times now but it still never ceases to amaze me – it really is the trip of a lifetime.”
