VILLAGERS have staged a second demonstration against plans for a giant supermarket warehouse on the edge of the New Forest.
About 50 placard-waving demonstrators presented a 2,000-name petition to Chris Treleaven, the council's Cabinet member for planning and transport.
Lidl says its plans to develop land at Wade Park Farm, Ower, will create 200 jobs.
However, members of the Keep Ower Rural campaign claim the scheme will devour an area the size of 15 football pitches and generate 500 lorry movements a day.
Lidl has lodged an objection to the council's new planning policy, which aims to prevent any major development taking place at the farm.
Campaigners say they hope their petition will help the council to fend off Lidl's challenge.
