Police identify body found in Dibden Purlieu

Police have named a teenager found hanged in woodland near his Hampshire home.

Aaron Humphries, 19, of Cleveland Drive, Dibden Purlieu, was discovered by a schoolboy walking to Noadswood School last Friday.

The boy, thought to have been about 14, made the grim discovery in woods near homes in Mendip Gardens.

A post-mortem examination has yet to be carried out but police say they are not treating the death as suspicious.

Wouldn't it be great if these young people could be convinced that nothing is ever that bad and that they matter.

Here here - the suicide figures amongst young people in this country are shocking.

Condolences to the family and loved ones left behind. Very sad, but in most instances avoidable; out of respect for the family at this time, conjecture would not be useful or helpful.

Isn't it a shame that anyone contemplating suicide can't just picture the abject horror of the poor soul finding them, but then I guess if they could think that rationally they wouldn't be contemplating suicide in the first place.

My condolences to this young man's family and heartfelt good wishes to the poor lad who found him.

I am'the woman walking her dog' mentioned in fridays report. I feel very sorry for the family and friends of the young man and as a parent myself cannot imagine how they must feel. I Have to thank the refuse collector who I ran to for help after seeing the body, he was calm and dealt with the situation. He called the emergency services and helped me to stay calm. Thankyou.
