A BANK holiday event being staged at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, will be music to the ears of classic car enthusiasts.

Some of the best vehicles in the museum’s collection will be started up in the main arena, allowing visitors to hear the unique melodies created by the multi-cylinder engines.

The line-up will include a 1909 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost and a 1961 Honda motorcycle once owned by champion rider Mike Hailwood.

Supercar and Superbike Start-Up will take place on Monday at noon and 4pm.
