I'm not surprised - I drive this route twice a day and the number of cars that come screaming up behind me, sit on my back bumper of even overtake me in some instances is shocking! I absolutely refuse to go over the speed limit and I drive to the conditions - if it's wet or dark I slow down.

Everyone seems to be in such a rush and some people seem to have absolutely no time or respect for the environment around them. Oh and while we're at it, those people who drives with fog lights on at night TURN THEM OFF!!! It's dazzling and it's illegal not to mention it looks chavvy!

Sadly I don't think some of these people will ever be considerate and unfortunately the wildlife suffers for it while the idiots just drive off.

Every driver has their own standards and if they've passed the driving test in the UK, these standards are acceptable to the authorities. Unfortunately for you, other drivers do not accept your driving standards being imposed on them and act accordingly. I expect you sit in lane three of the motorway at 69 MPH and tut-tut to yourself at all the drivers in your rear view mirror who want to break the law by overtaking you. Sway Road has a 30 MPH limit and if you're provoking other drivers to overtake you on this short stretch of road it would probably be safer for everyone if you took the bus.

Classic response. If only you knew.

Another one....the culprits are usually local people too! Drive too fast and don't give a stuff about the animals that live in the Forest. Really sick of hearing about these animal deaths. Perhaps fencing the roads where the most accidents occur might be the answer but then people would moan about spoiling the Forest.

I've advocated fencing the forest for many years but the preferred option is the continous death toll as Commoners knowingly put their animals out in spite of statistics to show that a certain number will die every month. Nothing will ever be done though and lots of animals are destined to die as the character of the forest is maintained for the benefit of tourism and the Commoners.

I bet it was a cyclist that did it.
