MULTI-million-pound plans to transform part of the Hampshire coastline have been given the go-ahead.
After a two-year planning battle developers can now build new homes on a prime picturesque clifftop spot.
It comes after council chiefs approved the latest application to demolish a former care home currently on the site.
Pennyfarthing Homes will demolish the Ravenhurst complex at Ravens Way, Milford on Sea, and replace it with four luxury houses. A previous plan to build 13 homes on the seafront site was rejected.
New Forest District Council said the proposed development would have an adverse impact on The White House, a Grade II listed building that has dominated the area for 100 years. But the authority has now approved a revised scheme that will preserve the outlook of the “sensitive” location.
