Judge sums up in murder trial

A JUDGE is due to finish his summing up on Monday in the trial of a homeless man accused of murdering his best friend.

Michael Hanlon, 53, is accused of stabbing to death Steve Pass, 54, at a flat in Foldsgate Close, Lynchurst last March.

Mr Justice Field started summing up yesterday but will said he will finish on Monday as the trial at Winchester Crown Court is not sitting today.

Hanlon, a former scaffolder, formerly of Studley Avenue, Holbury, admits that he killed Mr Pass but denies murder.
