A MAN charged with raping a woman in the New Forest has appeared at court.
Timothy Foster appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court charged with rape and a further count of sexual assault. The 26-year-old of no fixed abode was remanded in custody until July 17 when he will appear at Southampton Crown Court.
An investigation was launched after a 55-year-old woman reported she had been raped while out walking in the New Forest on Sunday morning.
