MOTORISTS heading towards the New Forest are facing long delays this morning.

A broken down vehicle just after the end of the M27, near Minstead, has blocked one lane causing long tailbacks to the M27.

These have been made worse by a two-car collision nearby, on Castle Malwood Hill, on the A31, about 35 minutes later at 7.31pm.

Police are at the scene and the cars are waiting to be recovered.
