THIEVES smashed into a Hampshire school, stealing thousands of pounds’ worth of computers.

The criminals forced the window of the technology suite at the Burgate School and Sixth Form Centre in Fordingbridge , stealing four large Apple Macintosh computers, worth more than £3,000.

Head teacher David Pover said: “It saddens me that we have to spend time and money in such a way because there are people operating locally who stoop so low as to steal classroom resources intended for the education of children.”
