AN ENERGY price comparison business is booming — and bosses plan to create more than 100 new jobs.

Love Energy Savings plans to more-than-double its current headcount of 120 employees in the next 12 months after a record year.

Bosses have now secured a six-figure finance package from Yorkshire Bank so they can expand the firm with more than 100 new sales positions.

The majority of Love Energy Savings business is comparing and switching gas and electricity suppliers for businesses.

It also serves domestic customers and recently served its 15,000th customer.

The business enjoyed a 25 per cent increase in sales last year and is on target to achieve similar levels of growth this year.

The company has agreed a new lending arrangement with Yorkshire Bank’s Business Banking Centre in Bolton, which will assist with cash flow as it embarks on its recruitment drive.

To cope with its growth, it moved from River Street in Bolton town centre to a new office in Springfield Court, off Summerfield Road last winter.

Phil Foster, the firm’s managing director, said: “The success of the company has been down to serving the business community.

Every business is looking to save money, now more than ever, and so getting the most cost effective energy tariff is vital.

“We are seeing growth all over the UK and that’s why we are expanding. We wanted to stay in Bolton and our new premises give us the space we need to create these new sales positions. The next 12 months will represent an important period in our growth and will provide the platform for further success.”

Love Energy Savings was founded in Bolton by Mr Foster in 2007.

It carries out energy, insurance and telecom price comparisons for firms. and predicts it can save the average small or medium-sized firm £1,050 per year by switching gas and electricity suppliers.

The firm also opened an apprentice academy and has taken on 40 new apprentices this year using links to the Job Centre Plus to help with recruitment.

Love Energy Savings was highly commended in this year’s Bolton & Bury Business Awards and Mr Foster was highly commended in the Director of the Year category of the North West Contact Centre of the Year awards.
