VISITORS to a Hampshire village will be greeted by eye-catching floral displays this summer.

The annual Valley Park in Bloom extravaganza, part of the wider Test Valley in Bloom competition, has been launched with a helping hand from pupils and staff at the community’s two primary schools.

The area has been decorated with scores of hanging baskets and troughs full of flowers.

At the launch Cllr Alan Dowden was joined by fellow parish councillors Kath Tilling and Andrew Beas-ley along with Sarah Stubbington, deputy head of Knightwood Primary School, and teaching assistants Marion Bray and Susan Light, from St Francis Primary School.
