Scores of entries have been sent in by children aged nine months to 10. Everyone is now in with a chance to win tickets to Marwell Zoo with their family.

Children as young as nine-months-old have sent in their scribbles.

Max Osman, three, of Freemantle, left a special message for his mum on his drawing. He said: “For my lovely mummy, thank you for looking after me every day.”

The best Toby Godwin, five, of Southampton, loves playtime with his mum and said: “I hope my mummy has a wonderful day as she is a wonderful mummy to me and my sister Sophie, love you mummy.”

Other entrants included seven-year-old Amie Suso from Southampton, who said: “I love my beautiful mummy so much, she is the best.”

Now it’s up to Daily Echo readers to choose which drawing they like the best in each age category, for under five and six to 10.

The six pictures with the highest number of votes will go through to the final judging process.
