IT will be a party to celebrate an inspirational Hampshire man who has touched hearts across the county.
Alex Lewis remains positive, despite losing all four limbs and part of his face when a common cold turned into a flesh-eating bug.
Now some of the south’s top bands will come together for a music festival in his honour.
Tickets have gone on sale for the second annual fundraising Bridge Music Festival.
Headlining acts were announced at a launch party at The Joiners in St Mary Street, Southampton.
During the evening Bel Esprit, who will be performing at the festival, also launched their debut album, Lose My Mind. They were joined on stage by bands including The Fontaines, The Older Girls and Elixir.
Alex, from Stockbridge, spoke about his plans for the event and how it will support his rehabilitation.
The cash raised will go to The Alex Lewis Trust which will help pay for the £1m worth of prosthetics, wheelchairs, home adjustments and equipment the young dad will need throughout his life.
Last year more than 300 people attended the event which raised hundreds for the trust – but this year they’re hoping to sell at least 7,500 tickets.
This year’s line-up will include bands such as Pink Floyd tribute act Think Floyd, electronic band Banco de Gaia and twin singers and guitarists Millers Daughter, pictured below.
The event at Stockbridge Recreation Ground will run from 12.30pm on July 4.
Tickets cost £25 per person or £35 including camping, from bridgefestival.org.uk.
