THOUSANDS flocked to a Hampshire park for a vibrant family fun day for all ages.
Record numbers gathered in Romsey War Memorial Park for the Mayor Picnic in the Park.
Glorious sunshine enticed more people than ever to yesterday’s (Sunday) [July 5] event organised by the Rotary Club of Romsey Test on behalf of town Mayor Dorothy Baverstock.
Visitors enjoyed decoy duck races and water games on the River Test and performances from the Mountbatten Community Choir and the Mountbatten Big Band, while Romsey Old Cadets dressed in crusade outfits.
Naomi Reading was crowned Carnival Queen backed by Senior Carnival Queen Lizzie Dutfield and attendants chant and junior attendants - Caitlyn Little and Mia Marchant.
Rotary member Neill Beasley said: “It’s a great event and shows the town’s community spirit.”
