A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a crash on a Test Valley road.

The 31-year-old man was travelling along Romsey Road at Cottonworth at around 9pm last night when his Yamaha R6 motorbike collided with a Citroen Berlingo.

Emergency services attended but the rider, of Andover, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Citroen, a 42-year-old man from North Baddesley, was in shock but not injured.

Police believe the victim’s next-of-kin are overseas and that formal identification may take some time.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting Operation Fork.
