THOUSANDS braved the pouring rain to turn out for one of Hampshire’s biggest country shows.
More than 24,000 pulled on their wellies and waterproofs as they flocked to the Romsey Show at the weekend.
The hotly anticipated event in the Broadlands estate is the largest and oldest one-day agricultural, horse and countryside shows in the region and was returning for its 174th year.
But the rain failed to put people off – with families wrapping up in the face of the elements – eager to meet more than a thousand livestock, poultry and wild animals and get stuck into traditional countryside pursuits.
