Drive-off fuel thefts at service stations

POLICE are hunting motorists behind two drive-off fuel thefts.

The first happened at Greatbridge Garage on the Stockbridge Road, Romsey, on Wednesday evening when a man filled his Saab up with £55 worth of petrol and then drove off without paying.

In another incident on Thursday morning a man made off with 95 litres of diesel worth £97 after filling up a blue Leyland-Daf truck at Romsey Service Station in Winchester Road. He went into the service station shop and claimed he had no means of payment then fled.

True but we can't say that say that just because the crime rate has gone up it's due to this section of society (we all know it's true!!!)

Absolutely wrong to suggest 'mobile people' are anything other than hard working, honest, law abiding folk.
Also, Saints have actually been bought by Lord Lucan, Alex Fergussan's going to be in charge and they hope to sign Maradona next week.
Or could I be wrong?

I'm told one of the common tactics fuel-thieves use is to put false plates over their real ones, stuck on with velcro or sticky pads.

Apparently if you see a car with such a pad stuck on a plate you should report it and its location to the Police. These people use the same tactics when stealing cars and selling drugs.
