OVER the last 12 months young people from the Abbey United Reformed Church in Romsey have been backing Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

They raised £1,585 and on Sunday Lynne Dadley collected the cheque on behalf of the Thruxton-based charity.

Money was raised in a number of ways, including an Easter Egg raffle, a sponsored walk, a coin collection, designing a Christmas card and a Christmas tea.
