Thieves make off with quad-bike worth £5,000 Thieves make off with quad-bike worth £5,000

THIEVES have stolen a quad bike worth more than £5,000 from a barn.

They broke the padlock to get into the building near the owner’s home, on Church Lane, Plaitford and took the bike, worth £5,200, and a trailer.

The incident happened on Sunday between 1.30am and 8.30am.

Anyone with information or any witnesses should call Romsey Police on 101.

Oh well, that's that then. Derek James has proclaimed quad bikes "useless", so I guess the theft of them is ok.

read the report. It was stolen from a barn, in Plaitford. This suggests a farm. Farms are notorious for mud. Quad bikes cope well with mud. Think, McFly, Think.

US land owners use Quads to move around our land - So we can carry tools to repair fences and feed cattle etc in areas that a heavier vehicle would struggle.. So Mr Jones for your suburbian window box I agree USELESS but on 30+ acres INVALUABLE...
