Drunk charge
A MAN has been charged with being drunk while in charge of a child on his way back from the Beggars Fair.
A 30-year-old, from North Baddesley, was stopped in Botley Road, Romsey , at around 6.45pm on Saturday and was arrested and later charged with being drunk in charge of a child under the age of seven.
He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on August 3.
Police were responding to a report from a member of staff at a Romsey pub.
