A MAN has died after he was found lying unconscious in a city tower block.
Alan Arthur, 56, was found lying in the corridor inside Copenhagen Towers, International Way in the Weston area of Southampton on Saturday.
Stanley Morris, also from Copenhagen Towers, has been charged with assault in connection with the Mr Arthur's death.
The 49-year-old is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court tomorrow morning. Two other men aged 27 and 61, and a 43-year-old woman were also arrested in connection with the incident and have been bailed until July pending further inquiries.
Police responded to reports of an injured man at Copenhagen Towers, International Way, Weston, at 5.13pm on Saturday.
On arrival they found a 56-year-old man lying unconscious in a corridor within the block, who was later identified as Alan Arthur.
Mr Arthur was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he later died.
A post mortem examination revealed he died from a subdural haemorrhage.
