A TOP porn star has caused a stir in Southampton over plans to bring her controversial new show to the city.

Model Rebecca More is the star of Sex Tour of England inviting men, women and couples to take part in some X-rated activity in front of the cameras in the back of a van.

With more than 2,000 applicants for her show across the country, Rebecca has caused a national frenzy in other cities. Now she is preparing to visit Southampton, where she has already had 11 people wanting to take part.

Produced by adult film company, Television X, it will then become a five-part series, showing Rebecca having sex with people in various UK cities in the back of a van.

The company is keeping details and location of the lorry in Southampton secret.

Cllr Royston Smith, prospective parliamentary candidate for Southampton Itchen said: “It’s very, very unpleasant. I can’t imagine why anyone would think that was a good idea.

"There are some things that councillors shouldn’t really get involved in but we have a responsibility to protect the children and vulnerable people in the community.

"We should stand united and boycott this. We need to make it clear that as a local authority we do not welcome anything like this."

He added: “If this was a travelling brothel we would shut it down in a heartbeat but legally I’m not sure what we can do. I find it disgusting that anyone should think this is acceptable.”

Southampton Itchen MP, John Denham said: “It’s ridiculous. I can’t say that Television X is a big part of my television viewing but I hope it’s just for subscribers and the only people that will see this are those who are looking for it.

“It’s distasteful but I think it’s one of those bizarre things that happens in the modern world and if it’s in private between consenting adults then I propose we just get on with our lives and shrug it off.”

It is not the first time Television X has taken a porn star across the country, in 2010 they filmed Tanya Tate’s Sex Tour of Ireland, which later won Best Reality Series from UK Adult Producers.

A spokesperson for the company said: “It’s all legal and as long as Rebecca is happy then so are we.

"You’re always going to get people that don’t approve but it’s a free country.”

Rebecca added: “I’ve never been to Southampton but I get a lot of emails and tweets asking me to visit so I’m excited about seeing my fans there.

“I think there’ll be a good turnout and if they’re anything like the northern guys it'll be a blast.

“It’s filmed in a private area and we aren't hurting anyone.

“Life is for living and enjoying and people need to realise that the adult industry is very hot on protection and cleanliness.”
