POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a suspected robbery of an 87-year-old woman in Southampton.
The pensioner was walking in Pound Tree Road in the city centre when she sustained a cut to her wedding ring finger.
Two young woman approached, saw her injury and gave her a plaster.
But when the elderly woman returned home she realised two rings from the same finger were missing.
One has since been found at her home address but the other is missing.
Now officers are urging anyone who saw the trio or who stopped to give first aid to contact them.
