VOLUNTEERS are needed to ring their bell and celebrate 50 years of Southampton’s city status.
Holyrood Estate Residents and Tenants Association is calling on people from all backgrounds to take part in the project to get people from a range of backgrounds and faiths to ring their bells 50 times on January 11, at 11am.
The event is part of the 50 Pledges Initiative to celebrate the anniversary of the city.
A spokesman for the association said: “We would like to prove that just a few Southampton-caring residents can bring some magic like this to their whole city, uplift it, and give all creeds the opportunity to work together, demonstrating that just a few people can make a difference if they have the heart to.”
