17,000 meals donated to families in need
MORE than 17,000 meals were donated to families in need by shoppers in Southampton.
Supermarket giant Tesco recently held its Neighbourhood Food Collection campaign encouraging customers to donate food at its stores.
And 17,409 meals were donated by people shopping at the firm’s 22 stores in and around Southampton.
They are among 4.7million meals donated nationwide that will now be donated to charities FareShare and the Trussell Trust.
