POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was indecently assaulted in Southampton.
The 36-year-old victim was walking home over Cobden Bridge when she walked past a group of four men and one woman.
One of the men lifted her skirt and touched her leg before the gang walked off in the direction of Bitterne Park Triangle.
The men were described as white, in their early 20s and wearing hoodies and jeans. The woman was also white, in her early 20s and had shoulder length brown hair.
The incident took place at around 6pm on Thursday, March 19.
DC Gavin Jordan said: “The victim was left very upset by this unacceptable behaviour. “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and can identify the members of this group and the young man responsible.”
Anyone with information should contact DC Jordan at Southampton Central Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
