POLICE have confirmed the name of a man found dead in Southampton.
Barrie Thompson was discovered dead at an address in Woodmill Lane on Sunday, May 24, 10 days after being reported missing.
The 51-year-old’s car was found at Woodmill on Saturday, May 16, prompting a helicopter search of the area and officers to sweep the River Itchen.
A member of the public found the body at around 8.10am on Sunday.
Both police and Mr Thompson’s family have thanked the public for all help and support during the search.
