POLICE are hunting thieves who stole two vintage scooters and set light to one at a children’s play area.
The Lambrettas were taken from a home in Burns Road in Thornhill last night between 10.45pm and 7am.
One of the classic mopeds were found ablaze at 3am last night in Thornhill Park near Masefield Green.
A team of five firefighters from Hightown fire station battled to put out the flames until 3.30am but the blue bike suffered 50 per cent damage.
Nobody was injured in the blaze.
The white Lambretta is still missing.
Now police are urging anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting 44150223107.
