THIS is the face of a man police want to question over a late-night robbery in a Southampton park.

Police have released the e-fit image of one of two men who attacked a 25-year-old man in Hoglands Park and stole cash and his mobile phone.

The victim was walking alone through the park when a man engaged him in conversation while a second man ran up behind him and hit him in the face.

They then tackled him to the ground and robbed him while the victim also sustained minor injuries to his forehead and cheek.

One of the men is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall, of skinny build, aged in his 20s. He had a slightly spotty complexion, light coloured hair and was wearing a short sleeved t-shirt.

The other man was described as white, around 5ft 7ins, of stocky, broad build, aged in his 20s, with short light hair. He was not wearing a top.

The incident occurred at around 2.30am on Sunday, July 12.

Detective Constable Andy Spooner, said: β€œI am appealing for anyone who recognises the man in the e-fit image to come forward and speak to us.

β€œIt was a busy Saturday evening and CCTV shows there were people in other areas of the park at the time of the incident. The suspects ran off towards the roundabout by Debenhams. I would urge anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information should contact DC Spooner at Southampton Police Station or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
