Arrest after rape in Southampton park
A MAN has been arrested this morning after a 26-year-old woman was raped in Southampton.
Police are investigating the incident which happened in Lakelands Park, also known as Freemantle Lake Park.
The investigation is called Operation Burton and was launched after the attack on April 20, last year.
The 25-year-old man has been arrested from an address in Freemantle and is being interviewed at Southampton Central Police Station.
