WEDDING cars are traditionally luxury saloons or classic vehicles – but one couple have decided to throw this convention out the window.

Described as a wedding like no other Marcus Gale, 25, and his fiancee Mykala De-Ste-Croix, 30, have invited hundreds of modified cars and bikes to their wedding happening today.

The self confessed petrol heads from Woolston, are now expecting more than 100 souped-up cars and 50 motorbikes to attend their special day.

Marcus, who is a professonal supermoto bike rider, and his fiancee are both obsessed with cars, bikes and motorsports and thought that they could not have the happiest day of their lives without including their passion.

Marcus said: “The wedding is definitely going to be different – there will be a huge range of different cars from big racers to almost super cars.

“Everything is motorsport themed – the grounds will be surrounded by modified cars and bikes along with some race bikes.

“When we come out of the wedding the cars are going to make loads of noise and we are going to jump on my track bike and do a lap of this big gravel track that goes round the venue.

“We are going to have to bunch up her wedding dress to make sure it doesn’t get caught in the bike.”

Daily Echo:

Apart from the bride, the star of the show will be a green Mitsubishi Eclipse.

It is the only exact replica in the world of the car the late star actor Paul Walker drove in the first Fast and Furious film.

Marcus added: “My fiancee loves cars and bikes and she comes and supports me at all my races.”

The wedding is taking place today, Saturday, October 3 at the Victoria house, Hampshire Constabulary, Hamble lane.

Marcus, a courier driver, said: “The people at the venue have been brilliant – we go to them with what we want to do and they have not said no to anything we have wanted.”
