POLICE have released an E-fit of a teenager they are looking for after a 12-year-old had his jaw broken in an attack in a park.

As previously reported, Lemar Young was playing football in Riverside Park, Southampton, when the attack happened at about 8pm on April 7.

Lemar, from Midanbury, said his assailant was part of a larger group of youngsters with an adult who acted "aggressively" towards him and his friends, kicking their ball away when it rolled towards them.

He told the Daily Echo: “Next thing I knew he kicked me on my back then on my face and the only thing I remember is being on my hands and knees spitting up blood and my friend carrying me away.

"He kicked me on the left side of my face and that knocked me out for a bit.”

Lemar was knocked unconscious and suffered a broken jaw which required three metal joints to treat when he was rushed to Southampton General Hospital.

His attacker is described as 15, white, wearing glasses and speaking with a European accent.

Police have now released an E-fit image of him.

Detective Constable Claire Ratcliffe from the Western Investigations Team said: “This young boy was playing with friends, like a lot children in the area do, when he was subjected to an unprovoked attack.

"We believe there were several witnesses to this incident and we hope some one will recognise this E-fit of the teenagers we would like to trace.
